Game Action: First Quarter Stats
As a social media and marketing intern for the Missoula PaddleHeads, I had a great deal of creative freedom to make design and branding choices. I shot and edited each of the photos in this carousel using a Sony Alpha camera and Adobe Lightroom. I used Canva to create this cohesive graphic that combined text, statistics, and images to tell the story of the beginning of the team's season. I enjoyed coming up with witty but pointed social media captions all season long.
Promotional: Osprey Night Throwback Uniforms
The PaddleHeads were formerly named The Missoula Osprey after the osprey nest that sits on a light post in right-center field. On throwback Osprey Night, ownership made a last-minute decision to allow players to wear sleeveless uniforms. My fellow marketing intern and I coordinated and executed this photo shoot on the fly (no pun intended). I took and edited each of these photos, and was very lucky to catch a shot with both the osprey nest and its inhabitant visible. The final photo in this carousel features the team's namesake flying above the players' heads and was very well received by the Missoula community, which remains fond of the Osprey branding.

Hype: PBL Knockout Round Walk-Off
Promotional: Rodeo Night
This shoot was coordinated by a fellow intern who collaborated with the Missoula Stampede Rodeo to bring Rodeo Night to the ballpark. My fellow intern and I constructed a shot list that paid special attention to brand activation for the evening's sponsor, the Missoula Motor Company. Together, we shot content for the teaser video above, which edited in Adobe Premier, and an extended hype video which played on the video board at the stadium before the game.
The Pioneer Baseball League doesn't do extra innings - it does Knockout Round home run derbies. During the first Knockout Round of the year, I collaborated with my boss, Missoula's marketing director, to create this video. We both shot video of the derby from different angles and worked together through the editing process to choose music and overlay the audio of the play call from our radio announcer. My boss encouraged me to take the lead in editing this video with Adobe Premier, and burning the midnight oil to get it posted on the same night of the derby with my mentor, from whom I learned so much, is a treasured memory I have from this summer.
